Current Status and Perspectives of Telepractice in Voice and Speech Therapy

Voice and speech therapy can be performed in various ways depending on the situation, although it is generally a face-to-face manner. Telepractice refers to provision of specialized voice by speech-language pathologists for assessment, therapy, counseling applying telecommunication technology from remote location. Recently, due pandemic situation active use non-face-to-face platforms, interest telepractice has increased. Moreover, growing body literature been advocating its clinical usefulness non-inferiority traditional intervention. In this review, existing discussions, guidelines, preliminary studies non-face-toface were summarized, recommendations tools provided.
